EXPLORE GEORGIA IN 8 DAYS

AnanuryGeorgia has served from the earliest times as a crossroad of cultures, with its traditions and values tightly kept during the turbulent history. While in Georgia you will explore a fascinating cross-road country – a mixture of cultures Europe and Asia. Travelers, public figures, writers and finally visitors have all remarked on beauty of landscapes and gorges, unique polyphonic music, dramatic mountains and surely delicious and original cuisine of Georgia. All these have evolved steadily over three millennia – along with an indigenous language and script.
This tour will show Georgia with its past glory and modern life. You will visit World Heritage Monasteries, Cathedrals and churches with early medieval frescoes, Imeretian Potstreasuries of pre-Christian and Christian periods in the State museums, artifacts at the ethnographic museum and more…
Tour starts with sightseeing tour of Tbilisi and continues to different provinces of Georgia: Khartli, Mtiuleti, Khevi, Imereti and Samtskhe-Javakheti. Over one week you will explore mountain villages, glorious landscapes, history, art and music, you will sample traditional Georgian dishes and famous Georgian wines.

Day 1 - Arrival
Day 2 - Tbilisi sightseeing tour
Day 3 - Depart for Mtskheta. Continue via Ananuri complex to Gudauri
Day 4 - Explore Kazbegi area. Hike Gergeti Trinity church
Day 5 - Drive to Gori. Continue via cave city Uplistsikhe & Stalin’s museum to Akhaltsikhe
Day 6 - Visit cave complex Vardzia. Continue to Kutaisi.
Day 7 - Excursion to Bagrati Cathedral & Gelati Academy. Drive to Tbilisi
Day 8 - Departure
