The trip starts with sightseeing tour of Tbilisi and continues via Mtskheta - an ancient capital of Georgia, to Khevsureti province and its center – medieval tower- complex of Shatili. Then trek through remote villages and over Atsunta Pass 3431 m. to Tusheti province, which was effectively autonomous as a tribal democracy till 17th century. The first vehicle in this area was seen only in 1982; till nowadays the road is blocked by snow for 7-8 months a year and there is no electricity, solar energy is an only alternative. Most of Tushetians lead nomadic way of life and move to Kakheti lowlands in winter. The area where the whole tour is held is called Khevi. It’s located in the northeast of the Great Caucasus. Mountains there are known for white, pristine beauty. The summit is called Mt. Kazbeg 5047 m. which is the third highest and one of the best known peaks in the Caucasus. Its Georgian name is ‘Mkinvartsveri’ meaning ‘ice-top’ in English. The trip is gaining adventurous experience day by day. In the beginning of the trip skiers start with ascend to only 2300 m. right before the first overnight. Getting accustomed to high altitude trip hardens gradually. After overcoming slopes reaching 25-30 degree and check-points with over 3800 m. high, challenge continuous toward Mt. Kazbeg. For the last stage we preserve the most intense and interesting climb to the summit. At the end, amuzing descend from the top of Mt.
