Overview
Tour starts from Tbilisi and continuous towards Northern part of Georgia. The area where the whole tour is held is called Khevi. It’s located in the northeast of the Great Caucasus.
Mountains there are known for white, pristine beauty. The summit is called Mt. Kazbeg 5047 m. which is the third highest and one of the best known peaks in the Caucasus. Its Georgian name is ‘Mkinvartsveri’ meaning ‘ice-top’ in English.
The trip is gaining adventurous experience day by day. In the beginning of the trip skiers start with ascend to only 2300 m. right before the first overnight. Getting accustomed to high altitude trip hardens gradually. After overcoming slopes reaching 25-30 degree and check-points with over 3800 m. high, challenge continuous toward Mt. Kazbeg. For the last stage we preserve the most intense and interesting climb to the summit.
At the end, amuzing descend from the top of Mt. Kazbeg to the village Stepandsminda gives you power to remember all the amazing places you’ve been.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival 1
Arrive in Tbilisi. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2 – Drive to Gudauri
Breakfast in hotel. Drive 2hr by 4WD vehicles to Gudauri ski resort, located north from the capital. On-piste and off-piste skiing. Overnight in hotel. Skiing: 3-4 hr
Day 3 – Ski Tour in Gudauri
Breakfast in hotel. Ski tour up to Mt. Sadzele 3360 m. Use ski lifts to reach Mt. Kudebi plateau at 2860 m. and afterwards climb Mt. Sadzele. Descend back to hotel for dinner and overnight. Skiing 5 hr
Day 4 – Ski Tour in Gudauri
Breakfast in hotel. Climb to Mt. Sadzele west plateau 3250 m. – north-west arête of Mt. Sadzele 2600 m. Mt. Bidara 3175 m. descend to the Cross Pass 2395 m. Drive to Gudauri. Diner and overnight at hotel. Skiing: 5-6 hr
Day 5 – Descend from Gudauri
Breakfast in hotel. Right from the edge of Gudauri ski resort after the valley, Mt. Lomisa 2140 m. attracts the most passionate, extreme skiers to climb up to the range and enjoy lavish, off-piste skiing towards Mleta village 1500 m. Drive back to Gudauri. Dinner and overnight in hotel. Skiing: 5-6 hr
Day 6 – To Kobi Pass
After breakfast using ski lifts get close to Mt. Kudebi . Ski up to Kobi pass 2900 m. Descend to village Kobi on the opposite side of Gudauri to the north. Drive to village Stepantsminda (*former Kazbegi). Dinner and overnight in guesthouse. Skiing: 4 hr
Day 7 – Ascend to “Betlemi Hut”
Breakfast at guesthouse. Ascend to “Betlemi Hut” 3670 m. the former meteo station built during the soviet times. The building hosted many famous mountaineers, also those who first climbed Mt. Kazbeg in late 19th centuryDinner and overnight in hut. Skiing: 3-4 hr
Day 8 – From Hut to Mt. Ortsveri
Breakfast in “Betlemi Hut”. From hut ski tour to the saddle of Mt. Ortsveri. Ascent to the summit 4360 m. via Northern ridge. Level required IIUIAA. Return back to “Betlemi Hut” for dinner and overnight. Skiing: 5-6 hr
Day 9 – Summit Day
Breakfast in “Betlemi Hut”. Ski up the glacier to Maili plateau and then via North Slope to the saddle at 4500 m. Ascent to the summit via ice-snow slope 6-7 hr. After celebration descent back to the hut for dinner and overnight. Skiing: 2-3 hr
Day 10 – Descend
Ski down to village Stepandsminda. Meet with 4WD vehicles and drive back to Gudauri. Dinner and overnight in hotel. Skiing: 2-3 hr
Day 11 – Back to Tbilisi
Breakfast at hotel. Time for own arrangements for optional skiing up to consideration. Transfer to Tbilisi. Optional cognac stop at D. Sarajishvili cognac factory or *optional visit at Sulfur bathhouses for recreational massage and SPA procedures. Free evening. Overnight in hotel.
