Overview
This is a trip to explore and feel the watchtowers and fortified dwellings with its untouched surroundings. Pretty much the whole trip will take place in Svaneti region, located northwest of Georgia. Here you will hike through a beautiful lands while enjoying the breathtaking panoramic views of snow-capped peaks and deep gorges, pine forests and alpine meadows.
The second part of fascinating trip continuous to the highest village of Europe Ushguli. The place is still inhabited and is located at 2200 m. above sea level.
On the ride back to Mestia – the center of Svaneti region, you’ll have chance to visit historical monuments and museums preserving ancient artifacts from this region. Finally you’ll have opportunity to taste Georgian homemade wines with delicious cuisine characterized to mountainous regions and listen to the famous polyphonic songs!
